Okay, so we’re slowly working our way through this stuff. We finally added some new content which will be very exciting to some of you and not so much to others. NYC has so much good food, but these food trucks are now making a wave. Note that we consider food trucks different than food stands. These are actual trucks that dish out food and drive away…no hitching to the back of a van.
From desserts to coffee to pizza, there is a big variety.
Check out the list here: Food Truck

Hi all, we are progressing along here. Infofornyc.com is now a property of Yigah LLC. More info on that later.
For today, let me just say sorry to everyone who looked at our NJ PATH page recently as some of the links were outdated. I have since updated them so they work. Now you’ll find out all the directions and other info to get to good ol’ NJ.
The other exciting news is that we now have a twitter feed. Feel free to follow along with postings about NYC happenings, thoughts, rants, raves, etc. Find us at http://www.twitter.com/infofornyc
Finally, I’m not kidding. More blog postings to come about NYC activities!

Okay, new content is coming right up. A shopping tab has been added to include such information as SAMPLE SALES! Of course, there is a lot more to NYC than sample sale shopping, but this will get you started. We will begin to include more shopping information, but being quite the foodies, we want to get to the restaurants quickly too!
To add more of an interesting touch, we should start posting up some of our adventures here as well. Stay tuned!

Hi Everyone,
We’ve created a new feedback page which allows you to ask us more questions or provide greater feedback. Don’t forget that you can use our forums to do so too.
The front page has been slightly modified too to group together the search for the boroughs. A smaller version of the Kayak travel search (see below post for more info) was also placed on the front page.
So, how are we doing?

Hey everyone, we hope you’re still getting value out of our searches. We updated the logo to add a bit more style and have a more urban feel to it. We are also listening to your suggestions.
We have added new searches by Borough. Try out our Queens, Bronx, and Brooklyn Searches.
A shop section was also added which is powered by Amazon to find Broadway CDs, DVDs, and books. There are also links to stores that you might find useful to book your travel needs, theater/Broadway/concert tickets, and more.
Look for a section in the future which will add a more extensive feedback section so you can tell us more about how you feel or what we can do better. We will also add a section to find out more about us and who we are. Keep searching!

Once in a while, we run into some decent sites which we make sure to include in our search results if it’s not already there. Then there are other times we run across sites that we feel are so useful that we should highlight them in a special. Therefore, we are adding some 3rd party links to our front page.
There have been a lot of searches for apartments and subway maps which lead us to our first two external links.
1) Housingmaps.com
This is a great Google Map mashup with Craigslist apartments. It’s not just for New York City, but you can specify NYC, and it will zoom into Manhattan. Sometimes it can be a little slow, but it’s worth the wait.
2) HopStop.com
HopStop is a great application where you can specify a starting and end point, and it will provide complete door-to-door directions by providing walking, subway, and bus directions. You can even specify how you want to get there (e.g., subway and walking only OR more transfers and less walking OR walking only, etc.)
Definitely take a look at these two. Keep your eyes out as we add more interesting links.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued support for us here and hopefully you’re finding the critical New York City information you need. So it appears that most people are using the generic NYC search although you will likely get the best results by using our targetted searches if one of those topics work for you. If not, then just type in your search terms in the generic one.
Due to this fact, we have rearranged the front page slightly to have the generic search engine on top and the focused searches and the search via Google map after that. We have also pulled out the Google ads from the top of the page for now, although this may come back at a certain point. We hope you are finding the ads useful to help you get the info or service you need.
Please send us any tips or questions or suggestions and keep searching! Thanks.

Thanks everyone for all the support, and we hope you’re finding value in our focused Search Engines.
We’re starting to get some and feedback on different search topics which is great. We’ll add another section to the site so you can provide more detailed feedback soon. On the topic suggestions, some of them are for specific keywords that you can already use today in our existing New York City search engine.
For example, a suggestion we received is for “movers”. I have since added it to our list of keywords that you’ll see on the generic New York Search on the home page. But, even before I added it to the “buzz cloud” (the list of keywords), you can go to the search box and do a search for movers and get some good results. It seems that most people use the buzz cloud which is great since we probably put some good words in there.
So far, the generic New York Search is getting the most traffic, but remember we have even more focused search engine. Something like New York City Movers probably doesn’t warrant its own search engine, but something like Broadway Shows does. There are many different Broadway Shows with a lot of information on the Internet. Don’t forget to check out our focused New York search engines as well.
Hope you’re enjoying the site and keep your eye out for improving information!
P.S. if you’re curious, the popular searches on the generic NYC searches are Penn Station, JFK airport, and subway maps. Sounds like you guys want to know how to get out to NYC and get around NYC.

Some of you probably noticed some changes on our New York keyword search engines. They have evolved to optionally include images on the results although you don’t have the option yet to delete or include relevant images yet.
Also, we have added some Google ads to the searches which will hopefully give you valuable places to visit since our searches are very targetted.
We are looking to redesign the site a little bit. You may have already noticed some very minor changes and also to add more Google map searches.
As always, let us know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
